From a series of 2 bani 1879-1880-1881. This is a very rare coin, although the mintage states&nbsp; 1.250.000 coins, this was just in theory. </p><p>Until the 10th of May 1881 Romania was a principality - and Carol had the title of Domn. On that date Romania became a kingdom and Carol&#039;s title became Rege (king).
