@panzerman - not fair to post favorites just before lunch. I had to google the recipe. It looks good, assuming I found the right recipe. Do you add pickles in your beef roll-up? That is an item I have not used when cooking beef. @Alegandron - nice addition.
Here is rouladen recipe: Buy 12 rouladen/ roll them out on countertop/ smear on a thin coat of normal mustard/ then smear on pureed onions/two strips of bacon @rouladen/roll them up and skewer @ one. In a large roasting pot/ add butter/ 4 large onions cut into four wedges/ blacken the onions on high heat/ remove onions/ burn your rouladen until dark brown/ add blackened onions/tiny pinch of sugar/ fill pot with water so that rouladen are totally immersed/ cook on medium heat for three hrs. Remove rouladen/ strain gravy to remove onions....which you throw in garbage! Then pour strained gravy back into pot/ bring to a slow boil/ add 1/2 cup 18% table cream/ 2 beef bouillion cubes/ add flour to thicken your gravy to correct consistency. Your done PS: NO PICKLES!
During the third century crisis (235-286AD) I count 28 “official” emperors and 38 usurpers - only two of whom died from natural causes.
GREAT Romulus, Q! Great detail with hair, cheekbone, the temple, and the eagle's talon. Mine has "been around" a little more. A bit used... RI Romulus 310-311 CE AE25 Domed Shrine doors ajar with sm Eagle
