Roman Republican, Roman Imperial & Byzantine Coins for auction - CNG, Wednesday, March 23

    Hi everyone.

    Here are my lots in the upcoming CNG e-auction 512. It closes Wednesday, March 23 starting at 10:00 am EDT.

    1. C. Fabius C.f. Hadrianus. 102 BC. AR Denarius (20mm, 3.86 g, 5h). Rome mint.

    The control marks on this issue are known without pellets, and with pellets one one of the four sides, and with pellets on top and bottom or left and right. This particular variant, with pellets above and below the control mark X, is not listed in CNR, but is known from two specimens in the Schafer photofile.

    2. Septimius Severus. AD 193-211. Æ As (24mm, 11.77 g, 12h). Rome mint.
