For research purposes, I'm looking for Roman Republican coins with controlmarks. I already have
those which appeared in auctions or pricelists. Could anyone who has obtained some otherwise please post
them here? Any condition from VG to EF is welcome. Sometimes a VG coin turns out to be very rare.

Nice coins Doug, I do prefer republican stuff to the roman empire

Soooo these control marks were put on in ancient times, like China chopmarks ???

More like modern mint and privy marks. Banker's marks are what you're thinking of.

Note the brockage and the Philippus next to it have both a punch and crescent but they are applied separately since their orientation differs. I know nothing about bankers' marks.
