While dealing with personal issues, I received an email from one of my favorite Ebay sellers. He had a nice Roman Republic that was at auction but the winner never paid. He asked if I might be interested at a 15% reduction from the original sales price. Of course I jumped on it. M. PLAETORIUS M.F. Great lookin' new coin ... => that's a pretty good pick-me-up after having to deal with an abnormal amount of life-turmoil (congrats on the new addition) ... Bing, I hope that things are going okay in your home-world (as well as expected)
Thanks guys. I was beginning to think I was all alone out here with this coin. Turmoil going strong Jerry.
I notice a similarity between this coin and much later provincial issues of the 3 century. The reverse eagle design looks like the brainchild of Antioch mint later on.
I've noticed the same. However, what drew me to this particular coin is the obverse personage. This is my only coin with Vacuna and really the only one I've seen (I think).
