You will rely on these a lot at first (like training wheels), but with enough practice and time, you will be able to identify many coins pretty much blindfolded (as long as they are in a good-enough shape that is). You will still usually need to go to a few of these resources for technical stuff like reference numbers though. No need to be hesitant to ask any questions along the way.
