Roman chariots on coins

    It is a denarius of L. Manlius Torquatus, minted in the name of Sulla in 82 BC. It had been circulating for 160 years.

    It's a little bit hard to tell, but on this next one (Titus) the horses are carting around a giant grain ear in the chariot:
