Another beautiful gold coin for your collection.
I imagine you Scrooge McDucking into a pile of ancient gold :)

Actually more like the, "Lawnmowerman". I walk 300+ kilometers a week/ no fun in this Summer from Hell. Since the end of May, we have had a brutal heat/humidity/ no rain. I will be soooooo happy to see September.

Question: where do you find the time to sleep ?

Your V02 max is certainly better than mine...

Great success rate in your bidding. Also, a super coin. Another Byzantine coin that is at auction currently is a solidus of Mezezius, whom I admit I have never heard of. It was posted in the facebook ancient and medieval coins group. Supposedly it is going for around $500,000.

It'll be estimated/sell for one less zero but still an interesting and rare coin.

I saw that coin too and was wondering who that guy was. Never heard of him but that coin and his mustache are fabulous! Some awesome coins in that auction, I wonder if they will print physical catalogues and if we will be able to buy one even if we are not registered to bid in the auction.
