Ive been looking around for pennies. I was surprised when it was easier to find them than I thought it would be. I just asked a few different elderly people if they had penneis or even nickles that I could buy off them. Told them that I wanted to look for older coins for my collection, and that I would cash them in for them. I started with my grandmother and bought a 5 gallon bucket off her. Got it figured out that on average, 35 lbs of pennies is $50 and a 5 gallon bucket is a whole lot more than you would ever think it would be. Anyhow, I have so far searched through about $800 worth of pennies, and paid well face value. I started off looking for wheaties but found alot of errors too. I also saved all the ones that were close to uncirculated and now have started on 10 different roll sets. I find the roll sets are fun to work on collecting. They arent worth much now, but when I have 500 complete collections of memorials, that will be something. Im also working on roll sets of Dimes and nickles. Ive found that 1982 is a really tough year to find in dimes and nickles, and you might want to hang onto those, but if you dont care to, save them for me, I need them really bad to finish my roll sets, and would buy them off of you.
