I also noticed a difference is some of the 48-D's I found (see attachment); mainly one looks quite abit larger than the other- does anyone know if there is the large and small mint mark variety for the date and mint?  I also found an odd 41-s nickel with something going on; can't figure if it's some kind of clash or not (see pic); some the the dark areas resemble letters a little-anyone have any idea?[/QUOTE]
