I like too keep old nickels that my only be worth 5 cents, because by the time my nephew, or any kids of my own I may have, are my age, these coins are going to be 60 or 70 years old. Its just history. Who cares what the coin is "worth"

    Canadian roll serachers

    Hello,

Has anybody have experience with roll searching in Canada? Are the banks in canada accomodating like the US ones? Being relatively new to all things nuministic I would like to get into finding some buried treasures.

    Have a great day...Eh!

I think the point being made here is that roll searching is all about fun and discovery. Well, at least I look at it that way. And its a good way to train your eye. I would be astounded if I actually made money from the exercise.

It's my understanding that there are forums devoted to people who buy boxes of nickels, dump them into a sorting machine, return all the non 99% nickel nickels, and repeat. I've read posts on some of those forums where people were actually selling their nickels for 2-3 times face value.

I've found that many banks in are more than accomodating. RBC changed a box a day of dimes for me without even having an account there. They took the old box back and made sure to give me new ones (boxes w/o my initials on them) each time.

TD also never batted an eye when I changed out a few boxes.
