I have a 1901 Indian that is in vg-fine condition it is half as thin as a regular Indianhead is there any added value because of this flaw?
At this grade,it's possible that the coin was originally tampered with before entering circulation. It might be worth having someone examine it at a local coin shop or show,just to get their opinion. Next step on this would be certification,because it would make a big difference in the price that you eventually get for this coin when you do sell it. We just had a Roosevelt Dime on a thin planchet awarded as a raffle prize in EW2,which was certified by ANACS and has a current value of about $100.00. Your Cent being lower grade would bring less but certification will maximize it's resale value. ~ Jim
