Re: Cent varieties to look for (including those mentioned above); First off, I keep anything pre-QEII, and I can usually score a few GVI cents in every box, so I'll include those in this list as well. GVI 1947ML (maple leaf) - high/low ML, blunt/pointed 7 (4 varieties total) 1948 high/low relief 1949 high/low relief (high is worth a significant premium) QEII 1953 - SF/NSF (shoulder fold, no shoulder fold) 1954 - SF/NSF (NSF in PL only, but worth a lot!) 1955 - SF/NSF (NSF worth a lot even in VF), SF also has long/short denticle varieties 1957 - high/hanging 7 (hanging 7 caused by dies crashing into each other with no slug in place, worth a bit more in MS 1960 - narrow/wide rim, narrow only worth a significant amount more in MS-64 1961 - G/MG (designer's intials) - G gets to be worth a bit more in higher grades 1962 - MG/G/"harp"/"guitar" - worth slightly more for each variety 1964 - normal/extra spine (only 5 reported so far - good luck!) 1965 - small/large beads, blunt/pointed 5 (total 4 varieties). The SBB5 also has an "extra spine" variety 1979 - normal/double punched date. (Double punched worth a bit in MS states) 1983 - near/far dots (around the rim) 1985 - blunt/pointed 5 - (I found 2 pointed 5's in two years of searching, but they were 3 weeks apart! LOL) then of course there are the P/no-P varieties from 1999 to 2006., and RCM logo mintmarks in 2006. 1999P and 2002P are the harder ones to find, and 2006RCM comes in magnetic and non-magnetic varieties. I wish I had pics for all of these for you. I'll see what I can come up with. Aslanmia - I've only found one silver quarter in two years, and that was in the cash drawer at work. (I was the one who took it in payment from the customer.) I've had better success searching dimes, which I've only done casually, and yet come up with 8 silver dimes in two years (7 different dates, too!)
