It should actually be called a "high 7" or a "low 7". The key is the positioning of the "7" in relation to the "0". Draw an imaginary horizontal line across the top and bottom of the "0". On the small date, the top of the "7" will be even with, or slightly higher than the top and bottom of the "0", thus a "high 7".
