Statistics for my first 100 boxes of halves searched I promised you I'd bore you with Stats......well here goes: On June 1, 2009, I started searching for silver in half dollar boxes and loose halves and rolls at banks because of this thread on this site. Though I haven't had the best of luck (like 100+ walkers for Gypsy or 322 Frankies by Inquisitive), I have had very good luck and never DREAMED that I would find this much silver. I've had loads of fun. Total take from partial boxes, customer wrapped rolls, and loose halves at banks: 191 total 67 or 35.08% of these were 90% silver (1 walker, 2 Franklins, 64 1964) 124 were 40% silver This came from searching $4269 worth of halves or approximately 8.5 boxes. If these actually came in boxes, it would work out to be 22.4 silver coins per box. From the 100 boxes, I found 340 silver halves or 3.4 per box. Of these, 73 (or 21.47%) were 90% silver including 7 walkers, 14 Frankies, and 52 64 Kennedys. 267 were 40%. Best take: One bank had 2 rolls and all 40 coins were UNC 1964d Kennedys. :D I divided my boxes into 6 different catagories (percentages to the left): 50% Shutouts 16% Poor (1 silver coin) 15% Fair (2-4) 10% Good (5-9) 4% Excellent (10-24) 5% Outstanding (25+) Meaning 66% or 2 out of every 3 boxes I was either shutout or had only one....wow....that doesn't seem so good, but when you find those outstanding boxes....it is quite sweet! Longest consecutive string of shutouts: 9 boxes Longest consecutive string of non-shutouts: 6 boxes (twice) Most in one box: 42 GRAND TOTALS since June 1, 2009: 531 silver halves including 140 90% (26.37% of the total)

8 WL
16 Franklins
116 1964 Kennedys
25 1965
50 1966
132 1967
120 1968
60 1969
3 1970
1 1976 silver clad
Other finds

69 Proofs including 14 1979 Type II (clear s)
3 Media Balboa including one of them silver
12 1974 DDO
6 1982 'no FG' errors
1 1983 'no FG' error
3 1987
bunches of 2002 - 2009 coins
:loud: Have I bored you yet? I've had a lot of fun, and again, never dreamed I would find so much silver. I never would have thought of it without this thread on this site. THANKS Coin Talk! Bob
