<p>[QUOTE=&quot;sodbuster, post: 787256, member: 20435&quot;]<b>Inspired</b></p><p><br /></p><p>All this talk about dozens of Franklins and Walking Liberties inspired me to search another box of halves.&nbsp; Better than I had been finding lately, but nothing to get too excited over:</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>1x66</p><p>2x67</p><p>1x69</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Four 40%</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>It really is the occasional Franklin or Walker that keeps me looking.&nbsp; Haven&#039;t found any of those in boxes since mid-November.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>-David</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>P.S.&nbsp; I&#039;m not surprised, Bob, that they wanted to keep the coins.&nbsp; They ought to hide them a little better though.&nbsp; </p><p>On a similar note...</p><p>It is probably not surprising to most, but when I occasionally visit the local coin shop, visitors coming in to sell stuff to the coin dealer outnumber paying customers at least 3 or 4 to 1.&nbsp; Well, I&#039;m in there the other day and this guy comes in with a butt-load of coins in various denominations - wheats, buffaloes, V nickels, and silver quarters and dimes.&nbsp; I could tell from his conversation with the dealer that he was a regular seller.&nbsp; After he left, I asked the dealer where the heck this guy got all his coins.&nbsp; The dealer said, &quot;Oh, that guys sees millions of $ in coins everyday.&nbsp; He works for BRINKS!!!&quot;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>SO - that may explain why it is not so easy sometimes to find coins from Brinks boxes.&nbsp; The Brinks employees apparently have some vision on the coins as they count them or something - and have access, like tellers, to withdraw whatever good coins they see.&nbsp; </p><p>Instead of being coinophiles (if that&#039;s a word), like us, this guy just hauls them down to the dealer and wholesales them.&nbsp; </p><p>Maybe I need to apply to Brinks....[/QUOTE]</p><p><br /></p>
