<p>[QUOTE=&quot;sodbuster, post: 735074, member: 20435&quot;]It&#039;s been a couple of weeks since I posted, but I found something post-worthy so I thought I&#039;d share.&nbsp; I have not been able to search much in the last couple of weeks, but I did get an MA thesis chapter completed.&nbsp; I did search through a box of pennies and a box of nickels, without great results... a few wheats, one war nickel, etc. </p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>I got $100 in nickels yesterday and $25 in pennies.&nbsp; Haven&#039;t opened any of the pennies yet, but in the first roll of nickels I found:</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>2 x V Nickels a 1907 and a 1899</p><p>2 x Buffalo Nickels 1937 in xf and 1920 in f</p><p>1 x Silver war nickel</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>They all had remnants of paper and elmer&#039;s glue on them, so they must have been part of someone&#039;s type set collection.&nbsp; I went through another four rolls or so without finding anything more.&nbsp; The V&#039;s are very pretty smooth, but then I only paid a nickel for them...&nbsp; </p><p>Those are the first V nickels my daughter and I have found in rolls.&nbsp; The buffalos were my third and fourth.&nbsp; Surprisingly, all four buffalos I have found so far have readable dates - these two were very nice.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Erin, you&#039;re having awful luck on your boxes.&nbsp; It&#039;s making me feel &quot;not so bad&quot; about not having time to half hunt so much the past few weeks.&nbsp; </p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>That bunch of dimes that was found a week or so ago was amazing.&nbsp; I have never found a SINGLE silver dime in circulation, let alone a merc - or dozens of mercs.&nbsp; </p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Best wishes all.&nbsp; I&#039;ll let you know if I find anything else interesting in the rest of the nickels.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>-David[/QUOTE]</p><p><br /></p>
