Thanks BizzyBill, you are right, no mint mark for Philadelphia before the war nickels. I appreciate the kudos BB. Hey Zeke, Even though I tend to under grade I think it looks AU on the obverse... the picture isn't quite as good as the coin looks in hand as there is much more detail in the hair and the face is more dimensional. The reverse is nearly as good and I can see the triangle at the top of the portico above the entry. There are no full steps to be seen on Monticello. It could go AU also. My natural full spectrum Ott-Lite has many arm adjustments which can move the light at different angles which I use when looking at the digital camera window to direct the light in a manner which does not cause glare. I never use flash when photographing coins. My camera is a Canon PowerShot SD850 IS Digital Elph, with 4x optical zoom macro mode, 8.0 megapixels, optical image stabilizer, and will adjust the 'film speed' according to how much shaking my hand is doing. This camera is much smarter than I am. Not every photograph comes out the way I wish it would. This Jefferson looks nearly as good as the 38 P uncirculated which I have in my album. I am glad you like it. jeankay
