I am home after 2 weeks vacation. Some of you may recall the day before I left for vacation I picked up a bunch of cwr halves, several of which had “silver” hand-written on the side of the roll. I had very limited time to look through the rolls before I left for vacation. Here is the photo of the labeled rolls and some contents from before my vacation. Tonight I had more time to look through all the rolls including these rolls. Here are the finds sorted by year. The coins on the right side of the stacks were sprinkled throughout the cwrs that weren’t labeled “silver”. The best finds were 1, ‘66 SMS, and 2, ‘67 SMS JFKs. It had been a year since I picked up rolls this good, so I’m very satisfied. HH everyone! P.S. Based on the fact the most recent date was 1984, these coins had been in these paper rolls for about 30 years. As a result, all the Cu-Ni clad coins were oxidized and not worth keeping despite many of them being BU to AU quality. Please, spend the extra money to store your coin collection in conservation grade materials!
