[QUOTE="TexAg, post: 3629999, member: 86167"]I stopped by a branch to dump some searched change into the self serve coin machine. I asked the new receptionist if the half dollar bag had any accumulation in it (I bought a partial bag of halves from this machine about 3 months ago). She looked at the log and said $813. Whoa! I asked if I could buy it and she said it had to be full ($1000) in order to sell it to me. I told her the Branch Manager has sold me partial bags before. Sure enough, the Manager arrived back from lunch and sold me the bag. At the car, I looked it over and could only see one silver. I searched it when I got home and the results were small:

1 x 1964-D

2 x 1965

1 x 1974-D DDO

Oh well, the way my luck has been this was good!

On a much more serious note, I am traveling to the Texas Hill Country tomorrow for the funeral of a good friend. Tom was the same age as me (61), and we both retired in Feb-2018. Made a quail hunt with him in December, and shortly afterwards he was diagnosed with pancreatic & liver cancer. He suffered through much chemo treatment and was doing better until the tumors blocked his intestines. He was gone soon after that.
