Awesome Day For Me :) :) I had some time between stops today and stopped at a few banks and asked for half dollars. Most had none but I picked up a few stray ones here and there. I got (2) 40% halves from the loose $10.50 in the teller's racks. Then I stop at a Wachovia branch that I almost drove by but decided "Ah what the heck..might as well since I have 15 minutes to spare". The teller had $2 in halves so I bought them (all clad) and usually they will ask the other tellers if they have any halves but mine didn't. I paid my $2 but before leaving I casually asked the teller next to her if she happened to have any Half dollars. She replies, "Yes, I have 13 rolls that someone brought in the other day" I say "I'll buy them" thinking here goes another $130 that will end up in my bank's free coin counting machine. I take my rolls, go to my car and start opening the rolls. The first roll got me excited because I found a Walking Liberty and a 40% JFK. EACH of the 13 rolls yielded keepers. Some days it seems like you'll never find any keepers and other days it's just YOUR day!!! Today was MY days and it was my best bank day in months. TOTAL FIND: Walking Liberties - 6 1940-S 1942-S 1942 1942 1945 1945 (super sweet looks AU to my novice eyes) Franklins - 3 1951 1954 1958-D Kennedys: (2) 90% + (26) 40% (2) 1964 (2) 1965 (5) 1966 (12) 1967 (6) 1968 (1) 1969 Paid $18.50 for approximately $130 in silver :) :) :) :) Took the clad to my other bank and got my money back for the clad. It pays to have bank accounts at most of the banks in your area so you can say YES if they ask you if you have an account there. I learned the hard way so I now have checking accounts at 8 different banks. *~*Joey*~*
