You can get the high octane stuff just be careful not to get it on yourself (read its MSDS before you buy it). I just use the booboo grade first aid 3.5% and am patient with it. Changing the HP every 12 hours or so and washing the coin with dish detergent and a toothbrush/nylon bristle cleaning brush and drying it. It loosens many impurities while not directly negatively affecting the coins surface.
