FINALLY something to report here out of Chico, Ca. I brought up that I needed to do some laundry tonight as I was zeroed on socks and running low on other things like work shirts. She says me to "Lemme check my wallet and see how many quarters I have" and she counted and had 7. We need 8 to make a full wash and dry happen, so I told her I will get the 8th quarter, plus another $2 worth.

I run across the street from my work to the Valero gas station, buy a soda and ask for $2 in quarters as part of my change. The cashier (and also the owner of that station.) hands me my $3.40 in change, $2 of it being in quarters as I asked. As the quarters lay in the palm of my hand in heap I notice one was well worn and white-ish in color. It was upside down and I stifled my excitement. "Whoa! A 1963! Yes!!" I thought to my self. I get out the door, check the quarter and find it was, in actuality, a 1936 plain! Wooo!

Also, not sure if I shared this or not, but about 2 months ago I came across a 1964 dime in change when I was getting a money order for rent at the grocery store. This is extra sweet for me because about 6 months ago or so I lost MOST of my silver coin collection... it was necessity as my wife lost her job (her client died, her agency had no where else to send her.), we had no real savings, and we needed to get food and gas and what not as my income is enough to pay rent and utilities but not the extras. I managed to keep everything that wasn't silver AND my prized 1957-S and 1932-D Washington quarter (It is P-4 at best... but it is a 32-D!) but a lot of what my grandmother and father in law gave me as gifts had to get cashed in =(
