[QUOTE="Check_M_All, post: 163930, member: 6661"]I have difficulty getting the banks around here to order boxes of halves for me. It used to bother me, but then I thought about it. I'm a builder/handyman. If I go to someone's house to fix their kitchen sink and they tell me that there toilet is clogged up something nasty, well it's my job and how I earn my living, so take me to it and I'll fix it gladly... Same should go for them. So I don't worry about it anymore. I want coins.

This morning I went out on a roll search. I decided on a bank that I'd had fair luck at once before. I asked for half dollars. They had $3.50 loose and $170 in the vault. I said I'd take them all. They put the loose ones on the counter and there sits a 1967, a 1964, and a 1951 Franklin. I'm getting excited. Well, out of the vault comes the teller with 17 rolls. As I'm picking them up I notice dates written in pen on the side of about half of them. I've seen this guys work before and he's good... So I prepare to be disappointed.

I dig into one of the unmarked rolls. There's a few 40% in there. Check another... the same plus a Walking Liberty. At that point I decided just to check the dated rolls first and save the others for last. As suspected there's nothing in the dated rolls. So back I go to the others.

In the end I was very happy.
