Called a branch of my personal bank in the small town 20 miles down the road from my small town to see if they had any halves. The teller went to check and when she came back she said she had $470 in halves, I assumed at that point it was either $470 of a box of $500 someone didn't get most of, or $470 of a box that had been picked up and dumped back, but I went and got it anyway. The rolls were in fact CWR and a lot of them looked pretty old and had tape on them so I got kind of excited. The teller says to me "what do you do with these?" I say, "I collect certain ones, especially the ones that don't have Kennedy on them because they are old and I like them" she says to me "well I bought a couple of rolls of these when they were first dropped off because you know some of them have silver in them? like the ones from 1965 to 1969, and I found a couple of those years in the few rolls I bought so maybe you will too!" At that point I smile at her and reply, "You don't say?!" Sure enough I brought them home and hit my personal jackpot of 40%ers. I would much prefer Franklins or Walkers, but 51 40%ers is a pretty good day in my book especially after the 12 40%ers I found yesterday making this week hot. My April is looking pretty good so far!

This picture is in order by year with the 65's being the top row. It always interests me to see the distribution of years.
