Picked up two boxes of halves I've been waiting about 5 weeks for. The teller ask me if I find any silver. I tell her every now and again. She then tells me she's surprised I find any because the Fed takes it all out. LOL. I then ask her if the coins come directly from the Fed and she tell me yes. It's comical how little they know about coins and where they come from.

The boxes on a side note, are heavily marked and look pretty skunky.

This was said somewhere else and it is worth mentioning here. If the carriers Dunbar, Brinks, Garda, Loomis took out the silver coins we would all end up stop searching rolls....eventually. This would mean millions or hundreds of thousands of less boxes being ordered by banks, which would mean less money paid out to the banks for the carriers services. This would essentially put the carriers out of job because no one would need their services any longer or they would need them on a greatly reduced scale. They would no longer need people boxing coins and packing trucks and the list would go on and on. By them not pulling silver from the system, they keep all of us CRHer's happy by having a coin or two in the box and we continue to order and they continue to have a job. Long term if they pulled silver from the system it would cost them big time.

Anyone else agree, to me it makes sense.

HOTN
