No intent to buy, just look around and see what they had. I had $1.05 in my pocket. We were close to a Rayley&#039;s grocery store. I decided to buy a lottery ticket. I bought the $1 ticket after I had the clerk give me a $1 bill for my change. I walked back down to the furniture store and scratched it.</span></span></p><p><span style="color: darkred"><span style="color: black"><br /></span></span></p><p><span style="color: darkred"><span style="color: black">Now, here are the events that followed:</span></span></p><p><span style="color: darkred"><span style="color: black"><br /></span></span></p><p><span style="color: darkred"><span style="color: black">1) I scratch the $1 ticket to find that I <b>WON</b> $11. The wife and I decide to swing by McD&#039;s to get lunch after the furniture looking is done.</span></span></p><p><span style="color: darkred"><span style="color: black"><br /></span></span></p><p><span style="color: darkred"><span style="color: black">2) I walk back down to Rayley&#039;s to cash in my ticket. As I am waiting for the clerk to cash it out I am planning on going to WF inside the store and getting a roll of halves, and if nothing good is in the roll buying lunch with the halves. Then, I see some coins in what I call a &quot;charity box&quot; on the counter. By that, I mean one of those boxes you put spare change in to fund the local homeless shelters. There is maybe all of $2 at best in this box...but I notice and old-looking dime. I lean over to take a peak at it and notice it is silver...and it is sitting on top of a another silver coin...a quarter!</span></span></p><p><span style="color: darkred"><span style="color: black"><br /></span></span></p><p><span style="color: darkred"><span style="color: black">3) I ask the manager, &quot;Sir, if I put $1 in this box, can I have that dime and quarter right there?&quot; He says to me &quot;Sure, but you only have to put in the 35 cents.&quot; First, I was happily supprised to hear him say yes, and secondly I figured I might as well put in the buck, since I want to donate SOMETHING.&nbsp; He gets his key, opens the box and take out the coins. I was correct, they were both silver. A 1946 Roosie, and a 1964-D Washington. </span></span></p><p><span style="color: darkred"><span style="color: black"><br /></span></span></p><p><span style="color: darkred"><span style="color: black">So, today, I turned $1 into a silver quarter, a silver dime, AND a hefty lunch for my wife and I.
