I had a recent situation at a bank near where I work that helped me make this decision to open these accounts. I stopped at a bank near work in NYC and asked if they had any halves. Teller #1 said she didn't and asked teller #2 who said she had 19 halves. Teller #1 asked me how many I wanted so I took out a $10 bill and said I'd take them all. Teller #2 asks if I have an account to which I said 'no' and she said she couldn't give them to me. I got a bit steamed and asked what she was going to do with them and if she was going to send them back. She said it was an internal policy. Ugh.[/QUOTE]
