Maybe because halves are easier to see in many ways, silver edge, coin is bigger, so date is easier to read, and really, I find the halves alot prettier.</p><p> </p><p>I have some of my nickels sorted, and I have the pre 1970 here:</p><p>1941x1 1948x2</p><p>1952x1 1956x1 1959x2</p><p>1961x1 1962x7 1964x10 1965x2 1967x1 1968x1 1969x3</p><p> </p><p>My pre 1970 dimes:</p><p>1965x4 1966x6 1967x8 1968x4 1969x3</p><p> </p><p>My pre 1970 quarters:</p><p>1965x19 1966x5 1967x16 1968x5 1969x4</p><p> </p><p>Then there are my post 1960's coins. I have them seperated by decade, but not logged them as of yet.
