need to correct an error from yesterdays finds. I forgot about the other 6 dimes I had the teller swipe from the miscellaneous pile of dimes on the counter. Brings yesterdays find to 361. Picked up another $200 CWR dimes from same bank and some quarters but havent gone through them yet.

4 boxes of halves - skunk. I'm officially done with boxed half dollars after i get the other 2 boxes i ordered for this week. Wooo for dimes and nickels!!!

 

Box of halves: 6 40%ers, a '64 D, a proof ('80, IIRC), a couple NIFC's, and what I believe is a '72 D no FG!

 

Well the 2 boxes of halves only yielded the 2/40%, a 2007S clad proof, and a 1994 S clad proof. 2 boxes of dimes, 1st one was skunk and the 2nd had 4 rosies. 3x 64 and a 1957. I am getting 2 more boxes of halves on Friday.

Well, I have been kinda lazy posting this week. A couple of my pick up banks forgot to order my boxes, so I spent some time running around town trying to find someone to sell me a box or two without order. Went through four boxes of halves this week. One Franklin, one walker (my first one) and five 40%. Two boxes of dimes gave up three roosies and five boxes of nickels gave up four war nickels no buffalo. I like nickels, but they are a ton of work. Takes about an hour to search through a box.

 

can you explain? I'm still kinda new.

I have 4 more boxes sitting here with me but no motivation to rip through them right now.

The 72-No FG - we can't tell from that photo. I have a few 72 coins that under magnification you can just barely see the FG and although I've taken them to 2 or 3 different shops - I've been given the same answer. Make sure you take a good look with your loop

 

I finished up with my dimes and quarters last night. Qs didn't produce any silver, just a foreign piece. Dimes produced another 7 roosies and 5 canadians, 2 of which are 68 and I need to weigh.

 

Use a magnet. Magnetic are Nickel.

Not bad, I'll take a pic of my total haul that I haven't sold when I go to my SDB probably tomorrow.

 

Was dumping at the bank today, and when the teller opened the counting machine to change the bags the guy behind me was like "can I buy those half dollars?" Of course you can't, which is what the teller told him, but they said he could buy the halves out of the teller's tray if they had any. Haha, I thought, they never have halves.

So when I went to cash out my machine ticket the teller did in fact have halves, and I saw one of them was a 40%. But of course at this point there's no way I can ask for them, since the guy is still standing behind me and he was a lot bigger than me lol.

Oh well, I did luck out at another bank and picked up a 63-D franklin, and convinced them to order halves for me. So today wasn't a total loss!

I think there is a faint partial FG there.....not sure.

I did a box yesterday and found one silver.....but at least it was a 1964

5 CWR halves - (2) 40%. A 68D, and a very dirty 69.

 

Waitin to hear back on that, Clorox. Did you get your half checked out yet? What could you be looking at pulling in if there's no FG on there?
