Searched two CWRs last night found 1946-D. Pretty worn but, didn't have one yet so a good score.

Finished a box of nickels last night. I don't do nickels very often, but here are my results:

    5 2009 D
    5 from the 1940s (no War :( )
    14 from the 1950s

included though was an MS 1956 D. Wow, it is gorgeous. It replaced the 56D I had in my Dansco.

I also found $9 of loose halves with one 40%er.

Yeah, those BU early dates are STUNNERS. I'm surprised at the number of 2009's you find, I find maybe 1 2009 every two or three boxes and they're usually dogs.

Nice surprise. Went to get my box for the week and barely made it before they closed. Was talking to the teller and an older lady brought in 36 mixed Morgan and Peace dollars. Unfortunately for me, the 3 tellers split them 12 each. Sigh, anyway I got my box and headed home. Pleasant surprise after missing out on the dollars to find 48 40% halves, 1 Walker, 3 Franklins and 2 64's. First good box in a while.

Bob was the box(es) you got today a solid box also? If so, there is hope times are turning lol. If not, probably back to the grind.

I'm sorry, but that is almost despicable! Out of the 4 of you, not one person told her she was trading $1,000 in coins for $36?

    Karma's a B*t*h!

Pardon? It did not happen in front of me (Or I would have told her), it happened two days ago and the tellers were excited to tell me as they know I collect coins. The head teller also told me (very nice lady) that she tried to get the lady to take them to a coin shop but the the lady just wanted the $36 dollars for them. No bad Karma here as I know better.)

$10 in pennies - just 2 wheats and some decent 1970's UNCs for upgrades.

Better than the story I got from one local bank. The teller said someone brought in a bunch of "old, dirty" silver dollars, which she promptly bought for her grandkids -- and she crowed about how nicely they cleaned up with a toothbrush and toothpaste. :( Still not sure if she was just winding me up.

Well after taking half a year break i am finally back into Roll Coin Searching again!

I've been searching some this week

I got a 1943-S Nickel and 3 other silver war nickel
    Also got 2 Roosies
and while a random stop visit to a bank i decided to ask for half dollars like usual and they handed me over a box.
Got myself a nice 1964 Kennedy. Made my day for sure!

Also while in my break i stumbled across a 1964 Silver Quarter in my change! I always believed i'd never get one! Tough Luck! EH?

is it more common to find half dollars or quarters that contain silver? For example, if I were to go to my bank and get $100 of each, which would I be more likely to find a silver piece in?

Well, I felt lucky yesterday so I got two boxes of halves. Skunk and Skunk. Erin, it looks like you go the only good boxr (congrats).

    I picked up $4.50 in halves today and found 3 40%ers. :)
