You make a strong argument kind sir! I've only been roll searching for about a month and a half, but I've been going at it pretty heavy. I've gone from only using one branch, to be being a known face in many different banks in town in a very short time, and I'm often greated (dump banks) with a strained smile. I recognize that I am causing them work and expense, and I'm not a benifit b/c I'm not depositing any real funds, just maintaining the account and dumping for cash to go buy more coin. I feel guilty, but it is what it is. I'm not going to stop. I do agree with what you've said though.

    Ace,
I have been super hot ($3.50 out of $6.00 in halves was silver, dime box with 6 dimes, $100 in dimes with 3 Roosie) or ICE COLD this month with $1100 dime and $750 dime skunk streaks. I'm obviously hopeful that I'll get a loaded box of halves but would be happy with anything other than a skunk. I'm placing pre-orders of halves north of me for next week to see if I can make the road trip worthwhile.

2001S must come from a special set that someone broke apart. That is a cool find, is it in nice condition?

800 pennies today, and only 3 wheats. Still good enough for me!

It is, but it is not a Cameo by any stretch. Probably low mint state (<68 for certain), worth melt, but a cool find.

Went to go pick up my two boxes of halves that should have been ordered last Friday. I walk in and he says "you want halves don't you", I say "I'm guessing you did'nt order them for me". This has happened a couple times with this guy. He told he could have them for Thursday so I thanked him and will try this all again in a couple days. This 4 town bank makes it difficult.

Went to another bank asking for halves, they don't have anything so I traded in $700 in $20's for $100's to make my wallet lighter. Went to another bank and I guess I just missed out some halves there, so I picked up $10 CWR in nickels. The first roll I edge searched produced a 1944-P War...maybe I should do more nickels.

    Went through my first box of quarters just to see what they're like. 0 silver :(, other finds : 11 bicentennials, 21 - 2009 quarters, 6 - 2010, and 5 - 2011. probably won't do them again.

Went out christmas shopping with the wife. Dumped at one bank and then down the road picked up $100 in halves and $100 in dimes. Turned out Two 40% 67,68 and One Mercury 1944 (first merc in circulation) Went into a few stores and then dumped at my favorite dump bank. I really like these guys, no sighs no nothing just count then cash.
Off to another bank they were out of dimes and didn't have any halves so went to back to the second bank and ask for more halves and dimes. Out of halves but got $100 in dimes. Found a 64 roosie :) Went and dumped at the first bank again. They were having customer appreciation day and had food set out. I was hungry again so why not
Off to another store then went out the the edge of town to a bank I am a member of this particular branch. They wouldn't give me diddly squat and said I could request some rolls for next week. This bank is literally in the middle of no where and I wasn't interested. I honestly think she just didn't want to get off her 400 pound butt and walk her lazy ... back to the vault. It's alright I will make it a dump bank because right across the street I picked up $30 in halves and $70 in dimes and they didn't even care I wasn't a member. I thought that was cool but they were all skunk. So now that I have to run to the post office I think I will take the skunk batch to the huge teller and make her get up. Just for spite, because that is the way I roll(search)....

Is there a reason why it seems that roll searchers do not search quarters? Are dimes that much better searching than quarters? I can see where on dimes it is much harder to read the dates....... but is there more to it that that? Thanks for any advice you can offer.
