Did three more boxes of halves. Pushed my skunk streak to nine and then broke it with the tenth box.

    box 1 = skunk
    box 2 = one '67
    box 3 = one '66

Have two more boxes tonight and three more tomorrow. Hopefully the tide has turned.

What's NIFC? Not intended for circulation? If so, what years are those? I just got a box and am about to go through them.

    Box of halves
    1 1961, 1 1963, 1 1964 and a 1969 happy to find a couple of Franklins :)
I got a peculiar box of pennies, i have only opened 6 rolls of the box but the rolls are full of BU 1960's and 1970's in the six rolls i picked up 94 UNC 60's and 70's pennies wondering if I should crack the rest of the rolls open. I never seen a box like this before. :)

Interesting day. Stopped at a local bank that I had some great finds at in the past. Picked up $40 Ikes. Also picked up $4 in halves that yielded 5 40%ers and 1 proof. I paid the teller with a series 1988 $50 and started a discussion about old currency and how I collect. She pulls out $200 in blue seal silver certificates. I obviously had to buy them for face. I started a thread over in the Paper Money forum.

I also picked up a box of halves but I feel my luck has run out for the day!

$560 in CWR halves. not an official box, the bank just happened to have a lot of rolls.

    1 1964

1 1989 proof, is it worth anything? it's in good shape, but you can tell it was circulated.

1 1981 un peso!? not even the right size!!

does anyone search quarter rolls for silver, or is that to rare?

Quarters are slim pickings, but I do them if I can't get halves, dimes, nickels, or if I just get an urge. I want to get a roll of Silvers eventually. Half way there.

    2 boxes of Halves: 2 x 40%ers, 1 x 1976S Proof Clad, and 1 x 1967 Great Britain One Penny.

This is my 3rd 1976S Proof Clad.

Is anyone interested in trading for another year's Proof if you are trying to collect like I am? If so send me a message.

Box of halves; bunch of UNC 2005's, both mints, with roller damage. Clearly a roll breakers rejects. Also a 40%er in there.

2 Boxes of dimes; first had 2, second was a skunk.

Box of nickels; 1 dateless buff, nothing else, particularly sparse box.

    3 boxes of halves
    Box 1: Nothing
    Box 2: 65, 67, a really nice 67 with some rainbow toning (it's a keeper!), and 3 nasty 64s
    Box 3: 1 67

Had a football game across town. Hit 7 banks in the area 6 had silver:

    4 Franks - 1958, 1960, 1953 and a sweet BU 63
    4 1964
    53 40%

Really weird how many different banks in the last week (2 road trips) have had Franklins.

    ...You suck.

Visiting my GF's family in north jersey next week for turkey day... gonna go into upstate NY Wednesday and hunt some banks, hopefully find some virgin turf like a fellow here did a couple years back... IIRC the guy walked away with like $600 face in 40% silver or something ridiculous.

    4 boxes halves:
    box 1: 1 x 1974-D DDO
    Box 2: 1 x 40%
    box 3: 5 x 40 %
Box 4: 1 x 1974-D DDO, and found 3 NIFC keepers over the 4 boxes- now only keep the nicest ones.

That makes a full dozen 1974-D DDO for me over past few months (that Ive kept, threw back a couple in bad shape). Anyone else looking for them? I think I'll get a full roll and stop looking after that- takes too much time.

Two more boxes of halves done and both were skunks. The last week and a half of halves, about 13 boxes, have been rough. They have produced a total of two 40%'ers. Picking up three more boxes tomorrow from the Wells Fargo that usually produces good results.

This week I have had my dump banks ask for my ID when turning in coins. They say there was a change and they now require an ID when exchanging coins for cash. Seems weird to me. Anyone experience something like this?
