Finally finished a box of cents I had been working on, just not much time while teaching and coaching. Ended up with 32% copper, which is my highest ever, usually around 20-25% copper. Also scored the following wheaties:
    1956 DX3, 1 in BU
    1953
    1953 DX3
    1951
    1950 D
    1946
    1946 S
    1945
    1945 D
    1941
and finally my best cent find ever, a 1912!

I have been on a cold streak this week- found 1 40% half in 350.00 cwr, quarters are a bust 2000.00 and zippo again! Does anyone think that silver will start showing up in CWR as we get closer to christmas? I hope so!

I haven't posted in 10 days due to some family matters. Here is my report of my searching during that time:

1 box of dimes: Skunk (3rd skunk dime box in a row)
    6 CWR of Halves: Skunk
    4 boxes of halves.....Box 1: Skunk
    Box 2: 4 40%ers, 1 1964, and 1 1956 Frankie :D
    Box 3: 1 1964
    Box 4: 5 40%ers

    Not too bad. :)

Today I opened my 400th box of halves (since June 2009, an average of 3.2 boxes per week).

So, it is time for statistics.

    Total box finds:
    1018 40%ers (including 4 1976 s)
    205 1964
    55 Franklins
    19 Walking Liberty
    2 Silver Proofs
An average of 3.25 silvers per box. 21.63% of the finds were 90% silver
    Also, probably 100 clad proof
    a dozen or more 1974 D DDO
a dozen or more No FG errors

I also searched during this time approximately $19,009 worth of loose/CWR/BWR not in a box. My totals for these are:
880 silvers including 147 1964, 9 Franklins, 2 walking liberty, and 1 Booker T. Washington 90% commem. This averages to 23.15 silvers per $500 (equivilent to a box).

    Total Half dollar finds of:
    1740 40%ers (79.82%)
    440 90%ers (20.18%) including 21 Walkers, 64 Franklins, 2 silver proofs, 1 early commem

Also found were 2 silver foreign coins:
    1968 Medio Balboa (Panama)
    1958 100 Lira (Italy)

    Also searched during this time:
30 dime boxes: 21 Roosies and 2 Mercs (0.7 per box)
9 dime bags (equiv of 4 boxes each) 44 Roosies (1.22 per box equivilent)
    Loose/bank: 10 Roosies and 1 Merc

Total of 78 silver dimes (75 Roosies and 3 Mercs)

I also have found 3 loose silver quarters and 4 silver war nickels (out of about 5 or 6 boxes).

Total silver coins found at face value: 2267.

    Interesting stats on halves:

First 100 boxes: 340 silvers (21.47% of them 90%ers) for an average of 3.40 per box
2nd 100 boxes: 332 silvers (20.18% of them 90%ers) for an average of 3.32 per box
3rd 100 boxes: 343 silvers (23.91% of them 90%ers) for an average of 3.43 per box
4th 100 boxes: 284 silvers (20.77% of them 90%ers) for an average of 2.84 per box

As you can see, VERY consistent for the first 300. The last 100 shows a measurable dropoff (it certainly seemed that way to me).

Total Skunk boxes in the 400: 185 (46.25%)

I obviously put all my finds on a spread sheet.

I have been very consistent, not as successful as some, but pretty dang successful!!! I'm extremely pleased (as you can imagine).

When I stopped to pick up my first box of halves today I asked the lady if she had any loose halves and she handed me a 1945 walking liberty! I also got a '67 in the box.
