Sure are...grabbed 2 more 40%ers out of my box today. 20 x 40%ers since yesterday.

As far as Howard, well I don't wish that for him...he's done a lot for the team, but they need to retool offensively next year and get younger!

over the weekend did 3 boxes of dimes, got one roosie total.

Also picked up 2 rolls CWR + 6.50 loose. Nothing in the loose, the CWR got me one '56 Frankie :smile

His problems are so easy to fix! All he needs to do is step up about half a step in the batters box, and stand 6-8 inches closer to the plate. If he also adjusted the angle he faces the pitcher at, he could probably do a lot to defeat the shift every team puts on him that he enjoys hitting right in to.

Bought a dansco for all the Jeffys I pull from circulation tonight. Gonna be a long, long time until it's full as I'm only putting in xf or better examples.

    Weekend Report.....a first for me

I normally get 3 to 4 boxes of halves between Th and Sat. This week, however, I ordered an extra one and got five.

My first three on TH/FR yielded the following

    Box 1: Skunk
    Box 2: 1 40%er
    Box 3: 1 40%er

It was then that I took notice that I had virtually stopped finding 90% silver in boxes. I've had some non-box 90% finds (some, really greats ones), but I looked at my spreadsheet and in the last 90 boxes, I had found a TOTAL of 5 90%ers. :( YECK. Easily, my worst stretch of its kind.

Then, I got my last two boxes on Friday.

I opened the box and for the FIRST time ever for me, a Wender was looking back at me:

And for those of you with sharp eyes, that is a reverse of a 1964 right next to it. I could hardly wait to open these boxes (the other box had a 1959 Ben Franklin ender).

    They did not disappoint.

Box 4: 6 1964, 2 Frankies, 3 Walkers (first time I've had double digit silver halves with zero 40%ers among them)
    Box 5: 4 1964, 9 Frankies , 2 Walkers and 5 40%ers :hail:

In 2.5 years of searching, I had found a total of 16 Walkers and I found 5 more Saturday. :D

    Wow! 26 90%ers and 5 40%ers in the 2 boxes.

    Nice luck, bob!

Also, I did $20 in half rolls last Friday with nothing and then traded those in for $20 in nickels.

The nickels didn't have anything really special, but had one mint roll of 2004-D Keelboats and one roll of mint P New Buffalos. I decided that they don't have alot of value now, but potential value in 20-30 years should be worth it in relation to the present value of the $4, so I just kept them.

Lastly, there was a nice UNC 1974 and 1965 and a 1978 West German 50 Pfenning.

I'm going to try and pickup an additional $30 in halves today, too.

Tried my luck at searching coins from the bank for the first time ever. Bought a bunch of halves and expected to find nothing. To my surprise the first coin I came across amongst the clad kennedys was an 1857 seated liberty.

    found 4 90%ers
    3 40%ers
    1960 silver "5 francs"
    1858 1florin (Austrian)

..... I think this is the beginning of an addiction

A seated? Get outta here... that's insane. Where do you live? Pics of it? I really wanna see this thing.

I've heard of counterfeits being found, but never a real one.

I have recently started roll hunting and so far have had, what I think is some good beginners success. I have searched about $750 of BWR halves and have found two 40% ers. Was hoping for more but satisfied with what I have found so far. I have five more rolls coming this week and plan to consistently search four to six rolls per week. Like Merc Crazy says, its a volume game.

I have found two 40% ers in 10 rolls of CWR's and now ask for any loose halves when at the bank. Today I found one in the tellers trey.

I did find one error that I have never heard of and don't know if it is valuable. It is a clad with two inverse sides. Anyone heard of this? Where can I find its value?

I have been skunked in searching quarters though. I have searched about $500 and plan to focus on halves and dimes from here on out.

I have searched about $350 worth of BWR and CWR rolls and have found to roosies.

Your thread is great and all the monster boxes give me hope that there is still silver out there to be had a face value.

Inverse sides? Coins have an obverse (heads) and reverse (tails)... sooo... inverse?

Sorry, it has two reverse sides.
