Sweet Frankie ender!!!

Found a 40%er about halfway through the box. I was down to the last 10 rolls and the first one had 2 40%ers. I got excited thinking the last 10 rolls will be great. Not quite. The last roll with the Franklin ender had another Frankie in it (1951). This was the 2nd of my usual 2 weekly boxes from this bank. I know they sometimes order more than my 2. I have the feeling that the following box could be really good. Time to call the head teller and see what she has.

Home sick today so no coin hunting. Will get back at it tomorrow. Have another box of halves, but I'm thinking it'll bring my streak to 7.

 

3 boxes of halves gave one 40%er. Brinks has been beating me up lately

I thought I might as well post my 2 month total so far(silver only)
1- peace dollar
115-40% H's
10-90% H's plus one silver double headed '64
1- Q
31- D's plus a 65 & 68 Canadian
7-war N

I search halves the most, Then comes dimes, I always try to ask for ike's(peace/morgan's). I like the odds of finding war or buff nickels, but they take so long to search, and lastly I've searched $2000 in quarters. I want to start searching them more though.

 

For every one out there that enjoys searching coin rolls like me, make sure that you ask the bank for rolls of coins that have been rolled at the federal reserve. The reserve only looks for dameged coins that can be taken out of circulation and leave in the rest so you have a much better chance of finding silver,buffs,wheaties, or indians.

Trust me the first roll of pennies I opened up had a 1920 wheat penny in VG condition. Almost every reserve roll has at least one wheat penny in and will probaly have other better coins in different denominations.

Dude. Luck of the draw. Not every roll has a wheat in it from the reserve.

Thanks HOTN & Bob. I got a good supply from one of my usual banks, but it ended today. Lets see what I get when they order for next week.

Dumped the dimes, asked if there were any halves. $2.50 yielded 1x64, 2x67, 1x69, 1x71.
