Went to my dump bank with my daughter on Friday after work for the second day in a row (I had alot of clad to get counted), and I was kind of hesitant as I don't want to wear out my welcome. They were totally cool with me bringing in all my coin and letting my daughter run all over the place, so cool in fact I decided to bring them donuts on Sat morning. They were all so happy I don't think anyone else brings in stuff like that for them. I don't think I'll ever have a problem getting rid of coin there and maybe can increase what I go through in a week.

On another note, I dropped $996 in halves to be counted at BoA almost two weeks ago and they still have not been credited to my account. I know how the pick-up cycle works and they should have been credited by now. I called over to the branch manager and she gave me an attitude and told me to wait a few more days but I have this feeling it's going to be like 5 more business days. If she was nice about it I would be fine, but she was snotty about it. I might just have to start bringing them rolled coin. It's always something with this branch, I'm considering moving my business elsewhere but I like dumping coins on them!!!!

So the price of silver keeps on dropping I'd like to pick some up if I can buy it at spot. Feebay is still too high and there really is not a coin shop in my area. Any suggestions?

George V Penny: Scarce (At Least In Circulation Rolls)

I lucked out in my 133rd roll. After finding some wheaties and George VIs, I was lucky enough to come across a real George V old-style penny. It's the first design after the Royal Canadian Mint ditched the large penny for the small.

And it's in good condition too! A strong Fine, or a weak VF. It's not as momentous as fining an Indian Head, 'tis true, but it's exciting for a Canuck like myself.

Box of nickels : 35 Pre-'60 including '39-S and '50-P, which are hole fillers, 2 War Nickels. Not bad at all. Still have 2 boxes to go through. I only have 2 buffalo nickels out of 11 boxes now, both out of 1 box... so that kinda sucks. I think I remember people here saying that their average was close to 1 per box, so I have some catching up to do. Also, on a side note, I am about to have some coins graded by PCGS, one of them is the 1995 DDO Penny from my avatar. There are two ways you can submit it, through regular submission where it will just say Doubled Die Obverse on the holder, or through their variety attribution submission, where it will say DDO-101 FS-101 (FS-040), but it will cost $24 more, but the population is about 1/10th. Which one would you guys do? I don't plan to sell the coin.

$415 from two branches (dimes and quarters), found one roosie

1st bag of nickels: 3 wars and a dateless buffalo

2nd bag: 2x 2009's. Still have to finish this one

Bag of pennies was amazing! Got over 60 wheaties (normal is 15-30). Many were 1944 but got some old ones and even an 1899 indian.

I like it! I have found a George V Nickel (1929), and I was given a 1917 old style large cent.

    Nice find.

Good find of your own. Getting three large pennies as a kid was what got me into coin collecting in the first place. Found them in my Christmas stocking:)

Picked up $91 Ikes over the weekend at a dump bank and found my first 1972 Type 2. Put the rest up on the 'bay. Also just sold off another $153 worth of Ikes on the 'bay as well...didn't realize I had accumulated that many. Would rather have that money to buy rolls.
