90% of any denomination should sell to dealers for near face, since they sell it for over face. 40% will sell at a discount, anywhere from 10-70% below face, depending on the dealer. War nickels I've found are about the same, much less than spot. My dealer offered me 35 cents per war nickel, when the full melt was over $2. So it's a crap shoot.
Also, keep an eye on http://www.coinflation.com

    E
DIT: FYI, I definitely did not let the war nicks go for 35 cents each. Full Ebay rolls are going for around $70 each, whereas 35 cents per would be only $14/roll.

    Anyone interested in BWR 2011-D N's? I got 50 rolls of them...

That's where I heard this song first. I've been hearing it on the radio lately, and frankly, I'm not super fond of it. But it always sounded familiar. It's in the cut-scenes from Borderlands.
Actually, I just this past week downloaded the last DLC since the PSN store had it for half off.

Grabbed another box of halves from one of my supply banks today. SKUNKED!

The only thing that saved the day was the teller (young guy) has always been very cool and we chatted about my intent. He knew and called it out the first time he helped me. So, he goes to get the box and I see a Silver Quarter in his tray at the very bottom. I figure he's keeping it for himself and I'm not going to even bother to ask about it since he's been so helpful.

When he gets back we make some more small talk and he offers it outright to me at face. I was shocked. He said he was starting to keep them when he found them, but he figured he didn't have the desire to put in the effort I did and thought I'd appreciate it. I thanked him a bunch and went on my way.

Was pretty busy at work today, but I managed to run by the bank during my lunch. 1 box of dimes yielded 1 '59, 1 '46, 3 '64, and a few foreigns. Not too shabby. I have had zero luck with halves over the last 3 months. I've pretty much given up on those.

I'm glad my luck has been better than that, we've gone through about 35 rolls maybe 40 and found 21 post 64 silver. Nothing earlier though.

Sorry you haven't had better luck...

Wow ... that's very impressive 52Chevy! From reading this board I've seen folks only picking 2 silvers out of a box, so I was thinking I was pretty much on average.

And by post 64 silver do you mean silver proofs?

Oh I thought we were talking about dimes. If only they were silver proofs.

No, for the halves 65 thru 70 were composed of 40% silver.

Did you get chill bumps? Or maybe an increased pulse rate when you opened those and realized what you had? I do when I just find any silver kennedys, and I have never found a Walker. Great find Merc. Definitely makes me want to hit up all my banks immediately.
