Yeah, I can definitely see this being an addiction. Thanks :)
So far, 26 rolls; 1 silver. We'll see where it goes from here.

So I got 2 boxes of dimes yesterday, one was all 2011. The other was a skunk. But I did get 3 40%ers yesterday and 5 40%ers this morning, on a quick stop I almost didn't make before work.
So here's the thing with dimes. I hate doing them. Halves are fun, nickels are fun, cents are fun. But dimes are a total pain. I have found silver in dime boxes, and get pumped when I do, but the search sucks. I usually just check edges if it's a brinks box. Anyone have any dime tips? A way to make it go quicker or be less of a pain?
Also, I've found silver dimes in the coin machine's reject tray while dumping at TCF bank. I've been wondering if it rejects ALL silver dimes, or will let some pass through. Because, if I get a box, open it all up, then just go straight to dumping it at the bank, that coin counter could do the whole job of searching for me. I guess I could grab a few silver dimes and test it out, but man, it'd be a costly mistake if I'm wrong.

Just picked up my 3 boxes of dimes today. All brand new 2011. Was averaging 1.29 silver/box for 10 boxes last week though.

Just searched my first set of rolls. Bought 100 bucks in halves and found a hole roll minus 1 of 65-70 halves. I found a similar roll on eBay, selling for over 100. :) success

Those are decent numbers. If you can pull that down all the time you'll be a happy camper.

Got a box yesterday of old dimes and went thru 17 rolls with nothing but a 5 pence. Today I went to pick up another box and they are back to 2011 dimes. Man I hope the box I have waiting for me to pick-up on Saturday is not solid 2011. I'll be unhappy.

Yeah I went and bought 15 more rolls and only found one silver half. Found almost 3 rolls of 1976 commemorative halves are those worth anything? To my knowledge they're not but then again I'm new to all this.

They are really only worth the $0.50 face you paid for them. Sorry. At least you found one more silver in the other 15 rolls, You had a very good day!

Lots of good info out on the internet. If you are interested in searching halves, even if only for silver, you should definitely learn more about them. One reason is you don't want to dump a coin that may be worth more than face.

    Start with Kennedys here: http://kennedyhalfguide.com/

Then look up commemoratives, Walking Liberty and Franklin halves. For $10 you may also want to pick up a Red Book.

Stopped at 2 of my banks today that usually have halves for me, both did not have the boxes...bummer.

I'm holding out hope that my main branch that has never let me down will have a box for me tomorrow.

So I got a box of cents today, and I pulled 17 wheaties, 4 canadians, 1 from uruguay, and am now in the process of searching 92s, 98s, 99s, 00s for CAMs and WAMS....and I found this 1992 with what looks like a scratch between the bottom right corner of the memorial to the rim of the coin...its not a scratch though, because it feels raised...i need to look at it under a magnifying glass, but what is it? a die crack? Looking at it reminds me of the 1890 CC Morgan $ VAM 4 Tailbar...
