Has anyone else been having problems getting boxes from TD? They have never had a spare dime box every time i've been there in the past couple months...maybe I just pick the wrong day?

Sorry Merc, I have not done nickels so I did not know if that was good or not. I was surprised to find them but I did not know how common. Maybe I should go back lol.

That's one less than what I have found in $250 BWR N's. :)

I appreciate the offer, brad. However, after some experimenting and looking around on FeeBay, I think I am going to go with buying some 1971-S (The Wife's first name starts with "S") cents. Anyone got some BU 1971-S cents? Maybe some cameo proofs you would like to part with?

If anyone knows anyone who is looking to part with some, send me a PM.

    Thanks.

Let's see what I average... 1.13 per box. Your rolls would pace out to smash my best box (7) by almost double (13.34).

I'd love to seesome pics! I have one that I tuned in for dimes. My only gripe is that you have to had feed it. I rigged a cheap Walmart coin sorter up to mine until the motor on the thing burnt up! I'd love to get it set up where I could dump some dimes in, go watch tv and come back with some silver laying there.

1 '64 in 4 rolls of dimes (normal bank was closed yesterday by the time I was able to leave). Nothing in 5 rolls of Q's, 4 rolls of cents.

Plus picked out a 63D Dime out of the teller's tray this morning.

Not a roll search, but picked up 2 mercs, and 4 rosies at a flea market this morning for $20 and a 1992 silver proof set and a 1999 proof set for $30...I was pretty happy

I'll get some quick pics up today sometime. I too have considered using one of the cheap sorters as a means of running the coins through automatically. For now, the hand method is working OK.

OK, you gotta tell me how you tuned it. I didn't want to mess the thing up completely and not have it sort anything properly.

    Dime Average

Out of the last 6k in dimes, I'm pulling 1.67 Roosie per $250 box.

Anyone else keep their averages they would like to share?

Every now and then the lady at work has some Eisenhower dollars to sell to me, she did this morning and bought them. I then asked about halves and I bought these for face :) Finally found some silver this week!

I haven't searched that many rolls, but I have received a few surprises. Somehow a proof 1970 S Jefferson nickel got in a roll. It certainly looks proof. I also found a 1964 Roosevelt dime, two silver War Nickels and about 2 rolls worth of pre-1960 Jeffersons. I get Kennedy rolls, but I have yet to find anything pre-'71. Gonna keep looking. It's fun, even if ya don't find anything.

I keep a spread sheet to track my purchases and finds. It was not strictly boxes but all my dimes I've purchased added up and divided by the number of finds.

Traded in $220 in quarters that were skunk for cash. The guy did not even blink when I brought them in. Sometimes you hear a groan when you cash in a ton of rolled coin, but not this time. I think this bank does not order coin so they might have been happy with me bringing in all the quarters.

I had made a call to a bank I don't have an account with for a box of dimes, they said no problem and it was sitting there on the counter when I walked in. Gave them my $250 and guess what, these are NOT brand new 2011 P dimes!!!! These things are old and dirty just like I wanted. Called another bank in the area where I will be on Sat morning and they will have a box ready for me then too. And my local bank gets a new delivery tomorrow so I'm going there too (they only have brand new 2011's now). I'm trying to stock up for a weekend night shift I have to work on Sunday. No supervisor hopefully means plenty of time to relax and sort through 3 boxes of dimes.
