Yeah, some of your posts seem OT sometimes, but I would not put them anywhere near the level of trolling. They're not offensive, they're not monopolizing threads, they're not personally attacking anyone (as far as I've seen). You post whatever you want; as long as they are within the board rules, I don't mind. If I'm not interested in what you're posting, I just move on...

    No worries, Taylor. :welcome:

Thanks. I have been told by a few and I have tried my best not to take offensivly the fact that I have been called a "troll". I do not belive that I have EVER posted anything against forum rules and I have most of the time stayed on topic its just that some dont like my posts.....

HOTN, I've bought a few boxes of D's recently that were mostly, or all, BWR BU 2011-D (I'm in the Southwest); my last box of D's was the "good stuff" - all circulated and dirty. :D From my understanding of how the whole coin distribution/circulation system works, I'm thinking the armored services in your area (and mine) are just getting around to releasing large quantities of the 2011 supplies from the mints. Keep plugging, the old stuff will come around again. :)

I just got a kick out of reading your post how you have thousands of posts already. Then I saw this post of yours: http://www.cointalk.com/t182486/#post1208327
Then as I was catching up on this thread I noticed that you clicked "Like" on almost every reply on page 929. So I figured I'd put the "quality not quantity" saying out there for you to consider. As long as you are having fun, that's all that matters!

    Feelin Good! Streak Broken

I'm not sure if ya'll like short stories but here goes.

I mentioned before that I had $200 rolled and $160 in cash to go get some dimes. I bring in the $200 rolled into this bank where they are always real nice. $105 in brown & green wrappers and $95 in clear plastic. I asked to trade them in for different dimes. They are wondering why so I tell them all the brown & green wrappers are uncirculated 2011 dimes and of no use for my coin collecting hobby. The clear wrapper ones are "not what I'm looking for". They took all the brown wrapper ones and traded them out for CWR they had on hand and told me they could easily sell the ones I traded to their merchants. The clear plastic they were skeptical about so I aksed them if I rolled them in the brown wrappers would they take them and they said no problem. This bank is small, and does not order coin, so they rely on what customers bring in so they can supply their merchants. I told them I would wrap in brown wrappers and return them later in the week since I'm always cleaning them out of their dime stock. It look like I now have a guilt free (on my part) place to drop off rolled coin. I feel bad for dropping coin on tellers all the time so I do my best to rotate so no one gets dumped on too badly.

    So here are the results
    $105 searched - 2 Roosie's 57 & 61
4 Canadian - made it interesting
1968 Canadian stuck to the magnet so I tossed it back in my canvas bag

    Still no Merc

I am surprised they wouldn't take the clear wrapped rolls since they can look at the roll and see they are all dimes unlike the paper rolls. I recently traded in $50 worth of clears for paper rolls. I too have by getting alot of 2011's. I find that getting $100 at a time from different banks helps avoid getting all 2011's.

I have been having a different experience as far as the 2011 dimes go. I havent seen a one yet. While I don't go through nearly as many rolls as most of you do, it is strange that I haven't seen a one. But then I live out in the southwest Arizona desert and get to the banks maybe a couple of times a month.

    Moonshine,

I felt the same way, but if they want them in the paper rolls I'm going to hook them up in the paper rolls, I have plenty. I have been doing the same thing, visiting several banks and getting $100 here and $100 there. This also helps out if you don't have an account. Most of the tellers have $100 in their safe in those handy green trays, but have to go to the big safe for a box of dimes. Sometimes they ask if I have an account when asking for large amount of coin. $100 seems to be a good number, they dump it in my dime box and I jam out the door no questions asked. Thanks for the info it seems like the 2011 are out in full force, I'll be happy when they're gone.

My two (ten) cents on the 2011 dime discussions. I have come across quite a few rolls of the 2011 in the last two weeks all of the sudden down here in Houston as well.
