Went to about 15 banks today and managed to get about $23 in loose halves...all Skunks.

    2 boxes of dimes:

    Box 1 - Skunk
    Box 2 - 3 Rosies (1 x 1963 and 2 x 1964)

    Not a total loss.

By far my oddest coin I pulled out of a roll was a Jamaican 5 cent nickle. My favorate find that i found was a 1910 wheat penny.

This week 2 boxes 1 40% half. That is actually good for lately lol. Sad but true.

Went to Lake Charles Friday with a couple of buddies and stopped in 4 banks while there found 5 40%.

Stopped in 2 banks near home midweek. New teller I have not seen before. Classic...When I asked her if she had gotten in any halves lately, her response "All I have is some old silver ones but they are tarnished so I doubt you want them." Of course I sighed, said better than nothing and took them. 1 1953, and 4 1964's. The 2nd bank next door had a few halves 1 1963, 2 1964 and 1 1966.

Today I go to visit my mother in law. There was a garage sale a few streets away. Bought these:
    70 40% Halves
    3 Morgans 1899o, 1881s, 1879o well circulated
    1 Peace 1925 Circulated
    4 ASE BU
    2 Maple Leafs original packaging
    4 1 onza's BU 1982, 1985, 2000, 2000 (2 of each type)
    3 1968 Olympic 25 peso Commems 1 AU, 2 BU
    1 $10 Casino silver token
    2 1 onza's BU 1949, 1980

I love garage sales!!! I have all but given up boxes due to wasted time, gas and effort.

4 rolls of each denomination today... nothing. One of the rolls of cents had 8 dimes in it though. I like that.

Found a 1961-D Dime in my Dad's pocket change today!!! My first ever silver find!... was sorting out copper pennies from about 30 coins, and there were about 8 dimes in the pile. Location - PA

Its still out there! I think that searching Dimes may yield more results since I know that most of the halves have dried up, and most of the quarters.

So I ended the weekend going through $50 in pennies, $40 in halves, and $100 in quarters with only 14 wheats and dirty fingertips to show for it. Pretty weak but there's next weekend ;)

I don't know that it was valuable or rare, but I picked up three large cents, all from 1860's, in bags of half dollars. One was dateless, but who cares? Great fun.. I also found an old farthing, also dateless, from the early 1700's. Someone's pocket piece, I suppose.

Searched $0 in pennies, $145 in halves. Fifteen wheaties, oldest was 1939P. Included 17 Canadian, oldest 1943 and 1948.

    Halves produced 3 40%, including 65, 66, 67, and three proofs, 2003S and two 2007S.

I searched 2 more boxes of dimes today and found 5 Rosies! Today is about two days short of my first month CRH'ing. I have to head out of town for business tomorrow and will be very busy so most likely not much searching till Friday. My first months totals are:

    Kennedy Half Dollars (90%): 4
    Kennedy Half Dollars (40%): 57
    Washington Quarter: 2
    Mercury Dime: 1
    Roosevelt Dime: 17
    Canadian Dime: 1

At today's spot about $425 (give or take a buck or two) :thumb:

Well today I decided to move the couches out from the wall and sweep, and everytime I always find something that I have been looking for or my wife and son has forgotten about. So as I pull the first couch away from the wall I find the usual suspects shoes, toys, dust bunnys, old potato chips etc. Then in the very corner I see a roll of half dollars???? I pick up the roll and see that it was never opened and my mind races!!! I rememmber the roll because all the boxes I had gotten at that time were wrapped in dollar wrappers inside out. Anyways I open the roll and find 2 40%ers!!!!! You never know what your gunna find behind the couch....:)

My boxes lately haven't been good at all. I'm happy to get any silvers. Last week the tellers forgot to order me my boxes and although I probably stop at 20-30 banks over the course of my work commute for the week, I rarely find any half dollars at all lately...I swear the northeast is the dryest of all the regions.

Anyway, today I did the 2 boxes we grabbed yesterday

    Box 1 - 5 40%
    Box 2 - 2-90% and 24-40%

My best box in a long time.

I just recently hit the 1 year mark so I'll have to count up everything I have and see how I did. I know I didn't hit 1000 halves total but I think I'm close if I add up 40s and 90s
