Opened an account with PNC today, talked to the manager in advance, explained that I'm leaving TD once I start the new job I got offered. I'll keep my TD account open for easy picking up and dumping, but otherwise, I'll expect PNC to order me halves... He said he can order me as many as TEN boxes per week. I laughed and told him that would be way too much... for now. Heh.

I did 50 BWR D's this morning and found 2 Roosies... and a MERC! First Merc out of circulation.

Yeah, I'm going to check another branch next time I go to dump, see what they say. I've had two separate tellers at the regular branch ask me about some guy named "Rob"; I'm figuring he's the guy I spotted a few weeks back. :rolling:

I'll work it out one way or another. :)

    And, from bad to worse...

No dice! Just picked up my boxes of H's and D's, and was informed, very nicely by the cutie vault manager, that the higher-ups have throttled me to one delivery a week. I was better off when I was just coming in and ordering them separately 2-3 times a week.

Time for a home brew and some H's...

Found 6 40%s in a box today :) Much better than the 1 per box I've averaged with my last four. I have another box from the same bank, hopefully it's as good!

Well my amazing streak for the last week came to a screaching halt. Somebody is now dumping rerolled halves at my main bank I order from.

I took a flyer on about $140 of his rolls since the teller I deal with told me he 'needed the money and she thought they may be good for me.' Apparently, he needed the money to go get more halves
to dump. There was nothing in there. I don't get why you take the time to reroll and go dump at a random bank when there are 1000's of banks in the Philly area that have coin counters???

So, I also took my box with me - that was a skunk.

I got out of work early...went and cashed it again, ran back to the bank and got another box and $140 from my 3rd box.

    Skunk.

In total I searched $1280 in Halves today and not one piece of Silver. There were no NIFC's or proofs either. Just plain old unintersting Kennedy's.

Tomorrow I'm going to hit some more banks West of here and see what turns up!

It's been a great week so far, but I was hoping to get more of the magic box lot...instead I got the Skunks revenge!!!

    10 rolls of nickels this morning. (2) 41 (2) 40 (1) 57 (1) 58. Did get a 62 to fill a hole in my 2nd album.
10 rolls through a box of cents as well. (2) Wheats (a 56 and a 57), (15) Canadians- oldest Canadian was 1939..gotta go look that one up.

    No WAM's or CAM's.

Just finished the second box I got from my bank today. The first had 6 40s, the second had 13 40s, one 90%, and 80 NIFCs of different dates. It's almost as if someone dumped all their NIFCs and I got them in one box. I also found this asian coin that is the same size as a half, anyone know what it is?

All in all a very interesting box.

Made a couple stops today. $80 in cwr's of halves gave one 40% and one nifc. Also picked up 31 ikes, a red seal $2, 27 cents off a coinstar, and won a president dollar at a car dealership the was running a promotion, the wheel almost stopped on $20.

coligoerglosum what a nice day you had!

You may have to post that Asian coin in the world coin thread. If you do, it will be identified. I guarantee it.

That is a great looking cent. Wow!

Box 3 and 4 of halves for this weekend went like this:

    Box 3: 1 40%er
    Box 4: 1 1964

So, 4 boxes yielded 4 silver halves. A lot better than my recent luck, but not very good. Still, it is nice to be out of that skunk streak........ :D
