Actually, since the begining of May, I just started. I had a box with 12 dimes the other week which was amazing and really brought up the total. Other than that its been the normal one or two out of every $300 searched.

did a box of cents today and was a little disapointed. I only found 12 wheat cents best one being a 1915 D? and one the date is covered in corresion so I can't read it. I did get 6 s cents 2 1969, 2 1970, 1 1972 and 1 1974. I got $7.60 in pre 82(not including any 1982 copper or the wheat cents) so that was pretty decent. I also got 22 canadian cents. Overall not a great box but it was still fun to search.

Don't even have a Walker yet, and landed a Barber!

She's pretty beat up, but here she is. This is all I pulled out of today's box. These String & Sons boxes have been feast or famine for me. The other good SS box I had, I found an 1812 Portugeuse 5 Reis. Now this box I pull my first Barber!

No Walkers, for me yet, but pulled a Barber. I still can't believe it. I had to create a whole new column in my halves spreadsheet for my stats. I never thought I'd find a Barber. Nice way to cap off the week, as I'm done half searching until next Monday. Might stop at a few banks and look for loose I guess on Friday or Saturday. I'll be in Tennessee for a weekend trip.

    HH all,

    Chester

    From different teller's trays, I found two 40% Kennedys (a '65 and a '67) and a 90% Kennedy.

Finally getting around to setting up my old QX3+ microscope. I know the pics aren't the highest quality; I'm just messing around, taking pics of the weird stuff I find.

A 1976-D cent with stamped impressions of The Liberty Bell and the USA. heh

Today I found a bank with $200 in BRH's (Halves)....I grabbed a box of dimes from them too...Totals:

    2 x 90% Halves (1964 Kennedy's)
    2 x 40% Halves (1965 and 1966 Kennedy's)
    1 x 1950 Dime (Rosie)

and when I went to cash in at TD Bank found a 1946 Rosie Dime

    So make that 2 Rosie's for the day, 2 90%ers, and 2 40%ers!

I get another box of halves tomorrow!

Silver Streak continues...hoping to continue the Half run tomorrow!

NICE Chester! Congrats! That's an awesome find! I've yet to pull anything that is not a Kennedy, but I'm still happy!

Yeah, finding a Barber is nuts. Congrats. I also haven't found anything older than a Kennedy, but someday.
Hit a new bank today, and asked for halves. They said they had $90 in halves, but said they said they can guarantee there's no silver in them. If a customer comes in with silver, they alert the customer to what they have and won't take it.
I wanted to say "What a stupid ridiculous policy!" but I did not. I took them, just in case they missed one. Only found 1 NIFC tho.

Lon - I actually think that's a pretty decent policy to let people know they are bringing in Silver. There is a certain part of this hobby that prays on people's ignorance.

In reality...where were these types of banks when they were handing out mortgages to anyone who could put an 'X' on the signature line??? That's why the housing industry is in such a pickle.

Oh well, we can agree to disagree on this, but at least there appears to be enough silver still out there!

I've never found a Barber silver. Two V-Nicks, four IHC, but never a Barber dime, quarter or half.

Y'all are having some great runs, I'm still not doing well with anything except nickels... finished a bag I started yesterday, pulled 4 more War Nicks.

grabbing some nickels in the morning. Just a few more to finish my set from circulation, hopefully I'll have some luck. I'll have to look at the folder again, but I think 6 to go. May get a little wild and get a box of cents.

Alright I know this is the result page I'll give them but asking if any of you do this also. Went out today and stopped at 13 banks in search of halves and first bank I stopped got 7 rolls of perfect never opened fed rolls. Results 2 40% and 1 90% which was a Walker never landed a Frankie or even a 1964 Kennedy straight to a Walker WTH! Awesome. Then I went bank to bank and got shut out and found nothing until my 10th bank and landed a box I'm new so I say sure I'll take that one and no sooner I get to the car I take a peak and notice every roll has been open and rewrapped. Now for the question I after looking at about 10 rolls gave up. Do you guys do this or do you continue and hope the person missed something?

Also where do you find helpful tellers I have already gotten the were not going to help you even if you're on fire look from most tellers I have run into. I ask if they say no about no halves or rolls if they have anything interesting silver, large dollar coins I mean anything worth the fact I took the time to stop in. I'm nice polite and have a fun attitude and wow I think **** will freeze over with the looks I'm getting and of course nothing cool came of this trip other than the above mentioned. I did however have fun dropping my first box off they didn't want it and thanks to you guys I knew and had a good laugh.
