Inquisitive, quick question: When you say "reject bin" do you mean the little "scoop" looking tray on the lower-end of the coinstar? Similar to a coin-return at a soda machine? That is what I always check, and never find anything there. Could just be that very few people use the machine, OR they have enough common sense to check the rejects. I would LOVE to find a 1960 quarter in there!

Yes. I've even told people that they have left change there, and they don't care or say "you can have it" (both by coinstar and by multiple bank counters). Mostly minimal money, but it surprises me every now & then.

Somehow I have upset the Silver Gods!!! I grabbed $40 in loose halves during an early lunch and nothing!

What do I have to do to appease them! Tired of grabbing blanks. It's been a almost a week and all I've managed to find was one Rosie Dime and a Canadian Dime. I've searched almost $1600 in coins.

NO MORE SKUNKS...NO MORE SKUNKS...NO MORE SKUNKS!!!

Hellofthenorth - I got $180 and dimes and a box of halves to look through tonight! I'm hoping my skunk acknowledgement breaks the streak!

It seemed to work for some on here not too long ago!

    Merc,
What kind of boxes of dimes are you getting. I only seem to get Strings & Son, and they seem to be treating me well. It's hard to imagine searching 2500 individual dimes and no silver.

RE: TD Bank coin counting machine
Does anyone know how much is held in the bags of dimes before the machine turns off. I hear the bags of halves hold and stop at every $100. That sounds kind of crazy to me, I'm glad I'm not dumping a K in halves, you'd be there for a while I would imagine.

Not sure about the rest of you but when you go to a bank and they have hundreds of dollars worth of CWR of halves, that puts up a big red flag for me.

I agree, but what if it's some old blue hair that just dropped them off because she needed to pay the oil bill to keep warm. I take em, search em quick and dump at the next BoA branch I don't like.
