Road trip did not yield much, just 8 40%ers from one branch. Best score of my day was not one, but two 1972 type 2 ikes from one batch of $100. Saved the day.

Love bank of america's boxes, just got a box of dimes and the rolls have the clear plastic. Found only a 1957 rosie but the upside is that I don't have to reroll the dimes :)

Did a box of halves. 1 40%er got me off the shnide for skunk boxes. Would have been 4 boxes in a row.

Box of dimes, 2 silver roosies.

Went to my coin guy, he had a ton of Merc Dimes. Picked out the OGH dimes (a PCGS 2 slab and a PCGS 4 slab) and a nice, toned modern for $75... the nicest of the three being a '44-D MS66FB.

Another box of pennies, 10 wheats one of which was a 1919 and a couple dimes. Average box today of cents.

Got a box of dimes today and asked if she had any halves. She said no but the other teller had $8 worth. Ok, I took them. Got a really funky green 1968! Then I went to another bank and the lady said "Hi Debby! I've been saving a roll of halves for you!" How nice of her! And it had a 67, 69, and a 2007! And my box of dimes coughed up two 1961s.

Not a bad day for very little time and effort.

Merc - How do you tell the different Ike '72's?

OCMD is officially beat! I did score 34 Ikes at one bank...so between last night and today I have picked up 73 Ikes.

I grabbed about $10 in loose halves - NADA!

Got about $40 in dimes, and found a 1957 Canadian dime. I have to see what that is all about, but I'm pretty certain it has silver.

Got my kids 2 rolls of pennies each. My 7 year old hooks a 1940 wheat on his first roll.

For my Birthday my girlfriend got me the 2011 RedBook and a 1971 40% Silver Ike for the year I was born! So - not a total loss of a day!

Not to mention...the kids were asking me to get more rolls of pennies to search tomorrow. That is the most fun I'm having is sharing it with them! Of course, catching SIlver is a close second!

Your canadian dime is 80% silver. I have a number of them myself, good looking coin in MS if you have one. Love the sailboat reverse.

    13-14 banks--18.50 in loose halves--No silver

$50 nickels--No war nickels--But did get a few holes filled in my book

Not really roll related, but I went to goodwill today and was looking around and found a bunch of coin collecting books/folders.

    I ended up getting 8 various blue whitman folders (2x lincoln cent 09-40, 1x lincoln cent 41-74, 1x jefferson nickel 38-61, 2x Kennedy half dollar starting 1964, 1x 1916 to date(1972) quarter, 1x peace dollar 21-35)
Something called "Library of coins" volume 28
Franklin halves 48-63 whitman album, with all of the plastic slides in it
a new unopened Eisenhower Dollars 1971-1978 littleton coin album with slip cover, BRAND NEW still wrapped in plastic!
    AND!
United states type dansco 7070 album! with all pages and plastic slides. The plastic slides will need to be cleaned a little bit, but hey, it was cheap!

I got all of the albums/folders for $10!

    Another day, another silver dime.

I bought some quarters today, nothing as usual.

But I went over to my in-laws, and they have a new little dog. I let him sniff a plastic wrapped roll of quarters in my palm.

He gave them one look, grabbed them, ran out the door and buried them in front of the shed. Weirdest damn thing I have ever seen.

Hey Ace, Google 1972 type two ike, it's the first result. I'm out or I'd link you. Theyre worth some cash, I sold one for $40 in AU50, and have another au I found as well as an MS 63, which is prob worth around $100. It's the king of Ikes. The two I found today, one is prob AU or XF and the other is low MS, maybe a 61.

6 cwr's of halves... nothing. Talked to them about ordering a box of halves. After telling them that I would not dump them back, and that I would only order one box, they agreed. That's cool, this branch is closer to my house.

Incarnate: I wondered what that text was all about last night....lol.

I opened my 3rd box of halves and it was also a skunk (5th in a row). Hopefully, I have one more bank with a box today for a try at some silver......
