    Ugg, 1500 in dimes, one 1964 on the end of one roll.

    I did happen to pick up a mint roll of lincoln dollars, and a 2001 mint roll of Sacs, which should hold a premium.

    Friday Report

    Looks like you guys have been making some good finds! :thumb:

    I want to apologize for my rant earlier in the week; I was excited to get my first box of halves and it was a big let down when it wasn't there. I'm sorry to all. :foot-mouth:

    As luck would have it, I was in another city for an appointment, stopped by a bank and they had a whole box of halves! The teller guy said he goes through a box or two a week... heh.

    Report:

    CWR H's: 2 rolls -> skunk
    BWR H's: 50 rolls -> 3 x 40's

    BWR Q's: 15 rolls -> skunk
    CWR Q's: 12 rolls -> skunk

    BWR D's: 11 rolls -> skunk
    CWR D's: 100 rolls -> 3 x roosies

    BWR P's: 70 rolls -> 13 rolls copper, 15 wheaties

    Got a box of H's coming on Monday; probably go through some D's and P's over the weekend...

    Have a good weekend everyone! :cheers:

    Did a box of cents, probably about 25-30 common wheats, including a gold-plated '53. Two George cents out of about six Canadians. Pulled three BU's, including a '59 that has a shot at beating out the one in my set right now.

    Started on 1 of 2 boxes (Brinks) today, but only did 18 rolls (my bank lets me take them in chunks since cash is always tight but I'll finish them by next week). But, I got 4 S minted halves, '71, '72x2 and '74. Please let me know the best way to clean these. They looked a bit "toned" but have gunk on them too. Warm water? Acetone? Baking soda/foil/hot water? Oh, and got a clean 2005 I've been looking for (matching the kids birth years).

    Anyway, get jealous of this one: 1x 40%'er ('65) in $0.50 loose change (wasn't with this teller last week)!!! HEHE...oh, and a '49 silver Canadian quarter SPOTTED in a clear roll of quarters from the same bank. See my pic below (bottom row are S coins) :) Thanks for any feedback about cleaning the S coins.

    Well here is the report of the bank run of all bank runs. I went to 27 banks in 18 different cities. 20 banks were either skunks or would not let me get any coin since I had no account. bank 1 had $6.50 skunk, bank 2 had $2.50 skunk bank 3 had $30 BWR skunk bank 4 had $14.50 skunk bank 5 had $100 worth of uncirculated $2 bills still in the fed wrapper all in order so I took them, bank 6 had $100 BWR skunk and low and behold bank #7 had around $1400 BWR (DUMP BANK?) Yes! I only had $829 on me at the time I found this bank so thats how many I took just to be safe because if I would have left this town without taking these coins I would have had bad dreams for a long long time. I get home and start opening them and I have gone through about 60 rolls and have been noticing they have been marked with orange and blue markers. I get to the last $120 worth and they are in a different type wrapper. I score 14-40%ers and 6-90%ers at some guys dump bank!!!!! Ha Ha Ha.

    So anyhow, this town is over 150 miles from where I live and I will not be going back there since I dont like searching through searched coins but it was a treat to fill a few holes in my folder with his dumps and get a little silver from some rolls he must have overlooked since it was his dump bank.

    This was one of the best banks I have ever been to for willingness to give up their halves. It was a bank of the west in southern minnesota!

    Well you got me beat. 2 weeks ago I hit up 20 banks, and scored ZERO silver. Nice to see you were able to get something. Sounds like you will have to head back there as soon as you can and get the rest.

    I"m planning on hitting up atleast 10 banks tomorrow.

    I've posted this coin on another thread, I think she deserves another mention.

    I bought a box of silver goodies. One of those items being a roll of 1964 Kennedy proofs. Amongst it I found my dream coin(I guess I am easy to please), but It's a coin I've wanted for a very long time.
    I present my find, 1964 Accented Hair Kennedy:hail:One of my highlights of coin collecting.

    I figured more than one picture was overkill and tried to delete, but it saved it in another form...oh well.

    Zirbg, nice score! That half is SWEET!

    Trolled through some CWR D's last night; I've found some off coins before, but I actually found a 1943 steel penny! I know it's not worth much, just an interesting find, especially in a dime roll.

    They must have had to cram it in there to get it to fit in a dime roll.

    Yeah, it stood out, but I thought it was just a regular ol' penny.

    I find P's in CWR D's too often... :rollling:
