I ordered the Dansco with proofs and it will be here in 2 days.. I wondered if I really needed the proof holes, well I'm glad I ordered that thing w/ proofs!!

AWESOME BOX AND A TON OF FUN!! Not much silver, but a heck of a time! WOOHOO!! Hope the next three have the rest of those proofs!

 

i found a roll of 39-49 nickels at work today and dropped a whole two bucks for then.

 

I have never been a roll searcher but today while I was at the bank I asked for all their half dollars on a whim. As soon as she opened the tray I spotted a suspiciously shiny specimen and sure enough it turned out to be a 40% 1967. Needless to say, I then proceeded, in a silver frenzy, to pillage 8 other banks of their half dollars. I was surprised at how few they had! I was able to find maybe $200 in halves and one random roll of Ikes. I ended up with 1 90% 1964, 1 40% 1967, and one 2010 proof! I think it was good for my first time, even if there weren't any Morgans hiding among those Ikes

 

Box 2 Brinks.....

Skunk.. I've never had a brink's that yielded anything but the occasional NIFC..

What is your luck with brinks????

 

I found my first silver half from circulation today!! Finaly after dollars and dollars of rolled and loose halves I got it!

Asked the teller who cashed my pay check for halves, she said "How much do you want?"
"How much you got?"

"About $5 worth"

"I'll take 'em!"

Then BOOM! 1967 Kennedy! Philladelphia strike! I am so stoked! I wants more!! I needs more!!

my last two brinks boxes only had some nifc's in em but then again i've only found 1 silver coin from boxes

 

Do you guys save post-2002 half dollars? I just found a 2010 D and was wondering if it's worth saving.

 

1 40% per $2K brinks boxes is my best. Worst was 11 boxes straight with none.

 

Incarnate, that is indeed a commem, I have one of those as well.

Looking forward to tomorrow, gonna do some serious roll hunting.

I have NEVER found a silver from them and have searched at least 10 boxes.. I'm almost to the point of just picking them up and driving 5 minutes later and dumping.. I hate those boxes!!

Box of nickels... 16 pre-60 but no war, one 29 buff, 3 canadian, and a coin from taiwan.

 

I find a ton of 01p's... I don't think they're nifc.

 

Do you know where that first box was from? The banks I found around here w/ halves are Brinks as well, skunk so far. It'd be nice to know what company lets Frankies and Walkers go in rolls

I thought the same thing when I read that. judging from the rest of his finds in that box, I'm assuming he means the modern ones, but I hope I'm wrong. If they really are buffalos, that is quite a find!

 

Yeah I thought the same after I posted. OK, so let's no longer refer to Westward's as "buffs"!
