Do you have an account there? Try the bank/banks you have an account with.

Did $5 in cents, nothing. Not even a wheat or an S coin. That is the first that that has ever happened. I might be going to dump my coins today and pick up some more rolls.

So have I, but they're typically not happy when you pick it up and they find out you don't have an account, lol.

I don't get it... I have had this happen a couple times in the last month. If you not going to give it up then don't leave where I can see it. It's not that difficult.

You guys should call the banks' customer service department and ask what their policy is in regards to coins in teller trays... Most banks have the policy that if the customer asks for it, the customer gets it... so you could use that as leverage to get the coin off the teller. Might not be the nicest thing to do, but I bet the teller will learn a lesson about leaving silver in their tray.

I recently discussed this issue with HR at the bank I work for. It's policy that if you are a customer of the bank the teller has to give you the coin that you ask for. You could file a complaint with the branch manner if you feel inclined.

Remember though, tellers are your friends. If you go down that road you can probably forget about getting anything from that bank again.

We all need dump banks though

    Another box of cents down...

Ya know, a lotta people are bothered by the dirt and whatnot of cents... I'm not. What bothers me about cents is when you inevitably break open a roll with a deteriorating zincoln in it... ugh, god, that smells almost toxic, it's just horrible.

Solid box with the wheats here, including a nice hole filler. :D

'32 <--- Hole filler. My first '31-'33 wheat from circulation.

    Only one BU, a '68.

Thought I was finally gonna get a box without a Canadian cent, but third to last roll, out popped one. Grrrr...

I have accounts at Wells Fargo, TCF Bank, US Bank, and a credit union. All of them would charge for cases. It's quite frustrating.

Box of dimes found a 1945-S merc! The box was the shrinkwrapped plastic rolls, first time I tried them, going to get more in the future.

So yesterday I bought 52 rolls of pennies and in that there were like three or four full rolls of wheat pennies, so now I have almost every mint from 1950 - 1958. Also, I found two 1936, a 1938 and a 1944. :) Also, I didn't think about it when I bought them but it takes a long time to sort that many pennies; so far I've only sorted 500ish of the 2600 :(

Afraid I am not much of a roll searcher. When looking for tine miniscle differences in 500 2010 Sac's it gets old fast for me. First time I had roll searched in over 40 years. Old folks are just Slowwwwwwww.

Great find on the 1932 Merc Crazy. I'm still waiting on that one.

How close are you to filling up your books?

I'm doing Lincoln pennies from 1909-1974. I still need almost all of the early cents (pre-1930). I'm starting to fill up the 1930s now. Still have yet to find a Steelie in circulation though for the 1943. Have you found any Steelies yet? Any idea about how many penny boxes you've done? Just curious.

I plan on doing pennies until I get those 2 folders full of circulated cents. Not sure what I will do after that. Should take me awhile though as some of the key dates might take forever to find in circulation, might have to break down and buy those near the end.
