    Gary,

You can sell copper cents on eBay right now, buddy. I buy them locally for 1.5x face and I search two boxes a week because I like to look for errors and varieties like you do. I also weigh all my 83's! Great minds think alike!

    Merc...let's see that copper hoard.

I just recently got ahold of 3 unsearched indian head penny rolls. I found a few things other than the common wheatie. The first is a 1870 3 cent piece. I don't know anything about these. I also found these 3 items:

    1. a 1/4 gold indian head octagonal token dated 1881

    2. an 1872 round gold indian head token ( Don't know the denomination since I am not familiar with fractionals)

    3. 1/10 oz St. Gaudins double eagle coin.

Unfortunately, my scale just broke so I can't weigh these out, secondly I don't kow the specific weights for the true authentic coins, third, I don't trust my local coin dealers since on 2 separate occasions I witnessed very unethical coin dealings.. IMO. I've never photgraphed coins this small before, other wise I'd post them. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Where did you get those from, ebay?

I can guarantee you that they were searched and put together, if so.

there are lots of "unsearched" wink wink rolls of wheat/IH cents on the bay. Are you saying you found a GOLD coin in a roll of cents?

well my scale just broke recently, I had a digital one. So, I'll have to pick up a new one, but I don't even know the proper weight of each. I'll have to find that out also. They seem heavy, but I want to get them on a scale.

I haven't started searching\collecting nickels yet....what is the significance of the non-war nickels? Are you just listing these because they are filling holes in your collection? Thanks.
